  • Agree with Desipis, it is a combination of factors. I am sure given the factors of low income, less education + religion, non-black voters are as likely to vote for Prop. 8.

    We shouldn't ignore homophobia or make excuses for it, no doubt, and I agree with you on that point. I think it's wrong for people to backlash against you for trying to understand certain in things better -- I have heard the term 'white gay racism' being floated around, which doesn't particularly make me happy -- Most of the community is mad and simply looking for someone to blame / target -- very human reaction, and that doesn't make us racist. Sooner or later, most of us will read/channel and understand better and move forward with this.
